Q&A
- How did you start with photo/video?
I’m actually educated within shipping. In 2003 I bought a Canon second digital DSLR 10D camera and started to photograph professionally on part time. Later on the same year, I registered my company and VAT number. I have also studied psychotherapy and I’m a Gestalt Therapist since 2015. I knew from the beginning that it would benefit me in my work with people in front of my camera. - How would you describe your style?
My work is pretty straight forward. Nothing fancy, but really solid work. - What inspires you?
Uh, I'm inspired by a lot of photographers and videographers. An example is Peter Hurley, his motto is to be 10% photographer and 90% therapist. - What is your dream shoot or project?
I would love to do more for my personal project Coffee & Cameras. Travel around the world to shine light on the coffee industry and the people in it. - What is your best advice to others that want to develop as photographers?
Get out and shoot!
What is in your bag?
- What is the most important in your bag?
Memory cards. - What bag do you use?
I use a mix of bags from ThinkTank and Orca. Clear favorites for photo work are the ThinkTank Retrospective 30 and their Airport Accelerator. For video work I use Orca's OR series, which is absolutely fantastic with e.g. light in the bag.
