Łukasz Dziewic born in 1988 in Tarnobrzeg, currently based in Warsaw.
A photographer of smaller and bigger stars, those who shine now and those who will certainly shine on the catwalks or in the newspapers. He mainly photographs models, actors, musicians and influencers, but he does not forget about reportage and documenting life on the streets of the cities he visits.
Self-taught, but since childhood he has been accompanied by a camera thanks to his photographer dad, who showed him the possibilities for self-expression and capturing fleeting moments. Fascinated by analogue photography.
His determination and talent have led to numerous photo shoots. In photography, he externalizes his emotions and character while constantly discovering himself. A lover of good books and travels from which he draws inspiration. Definitely a man on the move.
Q&A
- How did you start with photo/video?
Photography appeared very early in my life. It was all thanks to my Dad, who introduced me to this hobby. The first photo I developed, the first camera, it was thanks to him. He showed me everything but also said, "If you feel it - do it". With time, photography started to interest me more and more and colloquially speaking: "to get high". I developed my first photograph myself at the age of 12. It was a joy to see something you had made on paper, and it was brilliant to be able to influence how the print would look in different ways. I haven't parted with my camera since. - How would you describe your style?
I always put the person and their story first. I would describe my style as independent. Looking through my work, you will notice that it is not based solely on portraits of individuals. It is a play with light and the environment. A combination of ideas, inspirations that pop into my head and simply looking for the perfect image. - What inspires you?
First of all, the people around me. Being a photographer, you really get to know a lot of people. They give me the so-called kick-start. Without them, there would be no photos of me. I love travelling from which I always bring back documentary photos. Art and music also influence my work. - What is your dream shoot or project?
My dream is to do the cover of Vogue with Anja Rubik, and every project that comes my way is a dream come true for me because I do what I love. - What is your best advice to others that want to develop as photographers?
Experiment. Photography is a field that is constantly evolving and I myself come back from every session with new experiences. Don't give up when things don't work out for you. The best way to learn is through trial and error.
