Martin is a photographer, documentary filmmaker and YouTuber based in Slovakia. He started his career as camera man for news media and today works with some of the biggest TV productions in Czech Republic and Slovakia. When Martin met YouTuber Petr Ppluhar, also known as PPPeter, they started to collaborate and have since then together created travel documentaries and explored adventures all over the world.
Q&A
- How did you start with photo/video?
I'm self-taught. The first time I saw my friend's basic video of his vacation and I told him I think I can do it better :)
- How would you describe your style?
My style is really complex, generally I think I need to have perfect footage. When I'm filming for my YouTube channel, I use all of my staff and equipment to make a perfect shot.
- What inspires you?
My main inspiration sources are Peter McKinnon, Peter Balent, Samo Jaško, Daniel Schiffer and Ryan Nangle, Peter Popluhár and Martin Ondruš.
- What is your dream shoot or project?
That would be a documentary about the most bizarre things in China.
- What is your best advice to others that want to develop as photographers?
Practice is the best way how to improve. For me, it is to always try to more than others.
