Optical construction consists of 25 elements in 16 groups including one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion), five LD (Low Dispersion), and two Hybrid Aspherical lens elements that thoroughly controls aberrations including axial chromatic aberrations. Lens features Tamrons famous BBAR-G2 coating that suppresses ghosting and flare to a minimum and helps to boost details in the picture.
